Modeling and predicting trends of heat stress based on climate change phenomenon: A case study in a semi-arid climate

نویسندگان

چکیده

Background: Climate change is one of the most complex human challenges in future. One consequences climate exposure people to heat stress, especially outdoor environments. The aim this study was model changes trend stress environments coming decades context and global warming. Methods: Wet Bulb Globe Temperature (WBGT) index, Canadian Earth System Model (CanESM2), Statistical Down Scaling (SDSM) were used a semi-arid climate. In study, Arak station considered as representative Iran’s research, daily data minimum maximum temperatures, humidity, WBGT index from 2011 2099. Results: air temperatures show an increasing three time periods. Also, based on studied scenarios, temperature have upward positive relative humidity has downward negative decades. Conclusion: general, at simulations atmospheric general circulation models (GCMs), will not be unexpected.

Potassium reserves in soils with arid and semi-arid climate in southern Iran: a perspective based on potassium fixation

ABSTRACT- The present research was conducted to study K forms and fixation in soils of southern Iran (Hormozgan Province) with aridic and aridic-ustic regimes and to address the relations between soil mineralogy and potassium forms. Thirteen surface soil samples (0-25 cm) were collected from different regions and analyzed in laboratory. Illite and feldspar and mica are the major clay and soil m...

Impacts of climate change on extreme precipitation events in arid (Bandar Abbas) and semi-arid (Shahrekord) stations in Iran

The aim of this paper is to project extreme precipitation events in an arid and a semiarid station. In order to project climate change based on general circulation models (GCMs), we have applied LARS-WG[1] downscaling tool. This stochastic weather generator down-scaled the climate of two synoptic stations using HADCM3 model and A2 emission scenario for 2040. We extracted extreme precipitation e...
